I'm ok with it, however absent the combat actions rules the initiative skill is really only an "i go first" skill. it's utility is limited, but if people want to put points in it i say let em. there's plenty more bloat skills that should go to the chopping block before this skill.

I think it's a powergamer skill. There is no way to even explain what the initiative skill is except...i go faster. THAT is a solos job. So why weaken a solo by giving EVERYONE a chance to rip their benefit? It's counter intuitive.

That doesn't really solve Doom's criticism.  It further damages the solo's advantage by negating the sa bonus to initiative.  Two characters with 10 reflex would have the same base, even if one was a solo.

I was thinking of just letting solo add their SA to initiative, but eliminating the actual initiative skill.
